Go Natural For The Health Of Your Hair Not To Be Trendy

With a steady rise in the beauty industry Kiwi attends all the popular beauty events from Essence Music Festival in New Orleans to the Dollar General “A Day of Beauty” event in Nashville.  There’s no shortage of laughs when in the company of Atlanta based blogger Kiwi the Beauty. I had a sit down with the gorgeous natural hair influencer and we talked natural hair and business over cocktails.

What do you love most about your natural hair and the influence you have?
I love that it MAKES you love your hair. I am not saying wearing weaves or protective styles doesn’t mean you dont, but to have to do your hair on a regular basis – will make you fall in love with your own texture.

What’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
One of the most recent risk I ever taken was to solo travel to Panama. Another big risk; not going back to corporate America.

What’s your best advice you can give to women wanting to go natural?
Stop talking yourself out of it if you really want to do it. Do it for the health of your hair not because it’s trendy. Do not let people tell you negative stuff about how much work it is. It’s a journey to fall in love with, your own hair its worth it.

What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
Two years ago I was on a billboard. Several billboards…being recognized as a blogger. That was huge for me then and it makes me want to go harder because if I can get a billboard that early in my blogging career just by persistency and being myself – man I can’t wait until the future holds. Since then I have been featured in several magazine ads and beauty supply store placements. Next I want my image to be on a hair product ?

What new and exciting things are going in your career?
Continuous travel opportunities. I enjoy traveling so much and I feel like my travel is expanding my brand and its exciting.
