My 2 Year Natural Anniversary!

Big Chop: March 26, 2010

It’s been 2 amazing years!

This year of my journey has been great!  Last year was all about learning and this year has been all about growth.  I’ve had amazing growth which has allowed me to truly express my creativity through my hair hair styles.

I’ve created several styles that take minutes to do and I’m creating lot’s of professional styles for work as well.

I’ve officially reached armpit length (APL) when I stretch my hair down with my hand and my puff game is on point!  I attribute my amazing length to my hair care regimen and my healthy lifestyle – oh and pregnancy helps!

I tell everyone I meet that asks about my hair the same thing – If you moisturize properly, eat right, and drink lots of water, your hair will grow”  It’s not rocket science y’all. I understand that everyones hair is different, so my favorite products won’t necessarily work for you, but that has nothing to do with you moisturizing properly, eating right, and drinking lots of water.

Moisturizing is simple, clean your hair, add a leave in conditioner, add an oil, then add your moisturizer. That’s it.  Don’t make it a big deal if it doesn’t have to be.

Eating right is simple, get your fruits, veggies, protein, dairy, and whole grains in daily.  You can have pizza, cake, hamburgers and all that good stuff in moderation.

Drinking water doesn’t have to be difficult if you train yourself.  Carry a reusable water bottle with you throughout the day to remind you to drink your water.

My goals for this year is to retain my length and current level of health, and add 6+ inches on top of that!  I want to be able to achieve these looks this year!
Special thanks to all of you for joining me along my journey!
